In her series, Still Life for Things that Need a Goodbye, Mourning, Seoul artist Mejung Park looks at garbage through a lens of grief and care. Park takes the discards of daily life and builds sculptural works from disparate pieces, crowning them with cut paper imagery of florals. The resulting images are soft, quiet altars to the bittersweetness of daily living, nodding to the things we love and lose on even the smallest of scales.

JOIN US Tuesday, May 6th, at 10am for Coffee with the Artist as Mejung Park walks us through her practice and the Still Life series.
