Candela Gallery is thrilled to be hosting our inaugural Cliché Bingo Night
along with a preview of our twelfth annual juried + invitational exhibition, UnBound12!
Join us Thursday, July 6, for a ticketed bingo night to kick off fundraising for our 2023 Candela Collection acquisitions from UnBound12!. One ticket gets you at least two rounds of Bingo, oodles of merriment, and the chance to win some very intentional prizes that are definitely not from our lost and found.
All Bingo Night ticket sales go directly to the fund for this year’s Collection acquisitions.
Our Bingo subjects will be our own beloved photography clichés - we will flip through submitted images and the cliché each image best represents will be determined by a jury. Because our Bingo sets have only 16 cards, we will offer two sets of 16 people the chance to play alternating rounds of bingo. When you’re not playing bingo, you may mingle, browse the show, or contribute to the jury which decides which cliche each photo best represents. Our event will be limited to 32 slots, so claim your ticket while there’s still space!

The format for the event will resemble a slide show. Sixteen players, plus a choir of chaotic jurors, will be presented with one image at a time. Arguments about clichés will commence. Bingo cards will fill up. Prizes will be won!
Understanding that not everyone wants their work to be thought of as cliché, we will give you the option of including your name and title for the work OR you might rather wish to submit anonymously. These will not be published or used anywhere other than presented for the occasional Bingo Night.
